Public Holiday Declared in Rawalpindi on March 21 and 22 for Pakistan Day Parade


In anticipation of the Pakistan Day Parade scheduled for March 23, the Rawalpindi district administration has announced a public holiday on March 21 and 22, as reported by ARY News.

A notification issued by the DC Rawalpindi confirms the closure of all public and private educational institutions as well as offices during this period. However, it's important to note that this holiday will not impact the SSC-1 Annual Examination conducted by BISE Rawalpindi.

Preparations for Pakistan's upcoming Pakistan Day parade on March 23 are well underway, promising a lively celebration of the nation's rich heritage and resilience. Citizens from across the country are actively involved in ensuring a captivating display of Pakistan's diverse culture during the festivities.

As part of security measures ahead of Pakistan Day, a notification issued by Rawalpindi DC Hassan Waqar Cheema has banned activities such as flying kites, laser lights, aerial firing, the use of drone cameras, and flying pigeons within the limits of Rawalpindi Revenue until March 22. Additionally, section 144 has been enforced to uphold these security measures, with violators facing strict action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code, as stated in the notification.
